June 2009: The Urban Gifted Showcase committee of the Central Connecticut State University has invited Ms. Krishnamurthy to present a workshop on Robotics.

April 2009: Ms. Krishnamurthy and Dr. Hill are guest speakers at the "Automation in the Global Economy" workshop held as part of the 2009 NE ASEE Conference at the University of Bridgeport, CT.

February 2009: Ms. Krishnamurthy is one of the invited speakers at the Career Explorations Symposium at the Greater Hartford Academy of Mathematics and Science (GHAMAS).

January 2009: The CT Technology Council announces the winners of the fifth annual Woman of Innovation Awards, recognizing key executives, researchers, and educators. Ms. Bala Krishnamurthy is named the winner in the Entrepreneurial Innovation and Leadership category.

July - December 2009: Dr. Simon Hill mentors a Danbury High School student on robotics.

May 2008: The Ridgefield Library invites Aeolean staff to introduce robotics to young adults at the Ridgefield Library as part of the Donofrio Lecture Series. Ms. Krishnamurthy and Dr. Simon Hill team up with Dr. Karen Trovato, Philips Research, USA and Ms. Shika Sharma, to present a one and a half hour lecture to educate and encourage young students to take an interest in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) fields.

February 2008: Ms. Krishnamurthy is one of the panel guests on the "Ridgefield, Now we're talking!" live community/school video pprogram on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics).

June 2007: Ms. Bala Krishnamurthy is the first woman, and first person of Indian origin, to win the prestigious Engelberger Robotics Award for Technology Development. The award was presented to Ms. Krishnamurthy by the Robotics Industries Association at the Gala Banquet for the International Symposium on Robotics in Chicago. A ballroom full of international robotics pioneers, technologists, and application experts were present at the award ceremony.
