Prototype and Product Development, System Integration, Custom Software and Custom Electronics

The following is a sampling of Aeolean's success stories:
  • Application Development: Designed and developed communications and control of a seven degree-of-freedom manipulator and a three degree-of-freedom mobile base.
  • Application Development: Refined requirements, developed detailed interface specifications, designed, implemented and delivered a fully tested thermal-compensation software subsystem.
  • Application Development: Integration of network functionality with legacy image-processing software
  • Application Development: Implemented a real-time diagnostic embedded application for monitoring the safety system of a nuclear power plant. Code was developed, debugged, and tested on Linux networked workstations prior to the availability of the target hardware. The Automated Test Framework developed by Aeolean was an integral part of the verification and validation process.
  • Product Development: Designed next-generation PCB and implemented a high-value asset tracking system interfacing to RFID and biometric sensors.
  • Product Development: Specification, design & implementation of frequency and voltage conversion hardware
  • Product Research: Recommended and implemented wireless communication strategies for a mobile robot manufacturer.
  • Product Research: Researched and wrote a 77 page report on "Real-Time Linux" for the Intelligent Systems Division of NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology).
  • Product Research: Researched and wrote a 28 page report on "Real-Time Linux: An Evaluation of Development Environments for Real-Time Linux" for the Intelligent Systems Division of NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology).
  • Project Management: Specification and requirements elicitation in the design of a next generation robot language
  • Project Management: Introduced software engineering principles and object-oriented design methodologies for a robot manufacturer. Was instrumental in interviewing and hiring lead engineers for the team.
  • Training and Application Development: Trained a team of engineering staff in UML and OO design methodologies while designing software for an object-recognition vision system.
